Committee Members: Bob Charlton, Dave MacGregor, C.E. Reutter, John Schneder, Peggy Stapleton, Loc Sec Paulette Wilson. Absent: Rick Magnus (with notice). Guests: Richard Hildebrand, Virginia Plottel.
Call to order at 1712 local.
October 14 meeting minutes approved with comments; M:Charlton, S:Stapleton, 5/0/1 (Wilson).
LocSec Report: “AML Today” and other information from National read by P.Wilson.
Membership: 370 members currently in CAM. Patric Leedon will proctor at the RG.
Treasurer: Treasurer’s Report not available due to the Treasurer’s illness/absence.
Editor: 425 copies of the Mencinnatian will be printed. This allows 10-15 extra to be distributed at the RG.
RG 2007: As of 11/4, 71 people registered, $2187.42 in the RG account.
Upcoming:
Entertainment SIG:
Ethnic Dining – 4th Friday. Contact Thea Teich.
Mensa Meanderers – 4th Saturday. Contact Tim Back/John Cunningham
Gen-X – 3rd Saturday. Contact Heidi MacNeal. 17 November: Bonfire.
Science Fiction/Fantasy Discussion Group – 2nd Tuesday.
Trivia at the Pub in Rookwood, Mondays at 7:30 p. Contact C.E.Reutter.
Midtown lunch –Various Thursdays, usually 2 per month. Contact Ray Smith.
Monthly Gathering: 10 November – John Gumm, Channel 12 Weatherman, was cancelled due to low attendance expectation due to low RSVP.
Old Business:
Mind Games 2009 bid: R.Magnus was appointed Chair of a Mind Games 2009 Committee and authorized to spend up to $75 submitting a bid. M:Charlton, S:Stapleton, 5/0/1 (Wilson).
Electronic newsletter distribution: No report.
www.EventsInCincinnati.com: No report.
New Business:
Monthly Gatherings: Esther Charlton notified ExComm that she will not be finding speakers for the Monthly Gatherings for at least several months. There was discussion about generating increased attendance and whether a format other than the “dinner and a speaker” model should be considered. A Games Night will be hosted by C.E.Reutter on January 12.
CAM Website (www.cincinnati.us.mensa.org): C.E.Reutter said that she would like to resign as webmistress. Those interested in assuming the duties will bring information to the December ExComm meeting. M.Richmond and D.MacGregor are interested and will discuss with C.E.Reutter and P.Wilson.
2008 RG Chair: M.Richmond appointed 2008 RG Chair. M: MacGregor, S:Charlton, 6/0/0. Discussion about establishing “guidelines” for pre-registration rates for future RG Chairs. Recommendations to be made at December meeting.
Future Meetings:
9 December – 5:00p at C.E.’s, will be followed by organizational meeting for incoming ExComm.
January, 2008 – To be set by incoming ExComm.
