Hospitality

Virginia Plottel is once again our Hospitalty Chair and is creating the kind of hospitality we are known for - Cincinnati Style! You can find the meal schedule below.

Our Hospitality includes a generous snack room (marschalled by our own Eric Marschall) where we will serve all three of the major food groups - healthy, sweet and salty. You will find a hotdog machine, ice cream freezer and nacho machine as well as a variety of fresh and pre-packaged snack foods (including fruit, veggies, salty snacks and chocolate, of course). Pop, water, beer and wine will also be available (alcohol use is restricted to those over age 21). And the snack room is open arond the clock!

Of course, all meals, snacks and drinks are included in your registration.

Meal Schedule

For Friday Dinner (starting at 7 pm) we are once again pleased to have Nancy Heller and Bob Osterman, of Cleveland RG *and* 2009 AG Hospitality fame, acting as Meal Managers. They have decided to turn our RG around and offer Lots-a-CAM - foods famous in each of the CAMs in Mensa, including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Chicago, and Central Alabama Mensa. This will include multiple entrees, soups, a salad bar, vegetarian options and, of course, multiple desserts.

Breakfast will begin at 8 am both Saturday and Sunday and will include the usual RG breakfast staples (breads, cereals, eggs, juices and fruit) plus individually prepared omelets by Omeletteer Ernie Jones, who will be working with his lovely wife, Meal Manager Nita Jones. We are not sure what medieval omelettes consisted of, but you can help Ernie figure that out!

For Saturday lunch Sachin Modi will bring us far-eastern CAM-a-lot dishes in the form of an Indian Buffet. Traditional Indian soups and entrees, plus a salad bar and lunchmeat sandwichs for those with more western tastes. Meal time is 12:30 pm.

Virginia Plottel will prepare Saturday dinner herself and plans to serve semi-authentic medieval fare along with soups and salad items. You won't have to wait long as dinner starts at 6:30 pm, but you will have to wait for dessert because...

Death by Dessert is not until 11 pm! Organized by Sarah Thompson, the theme is Choc-a-lot. Incorporate the medievel theme and/or the Holy Grail to increase your odds of winning a prize; dipping it all in chocolate doesn't hurt either. Or you can just come and stuff yourself with yummy desserts - the serving wenches will be glad to fill your plate.
